In a new article published by The Conversation, researchers Nina Bergdahl, Stockholm University and Melissa Bond, University of South Australia, discussed how school lockdowns during the pandemic made an interesting difference to education systems worldwide. The report highlighted digital learning strategies complimented traditional methods of teaching. Students who were usually reluctant to take part in learning activities were more engaged at home because there was no social pressure. The lockdowns opened up new pathways of assessment and delivery, and provided alternative methods for students to collaborate and connect with their peers.
